1964-66 Coke Bottle Caps Question

For anyone that collects these, do you remove the seal on the inside of the cap or leave it intact? I have a bunch with the seals included that are stained and dirty, and would like to remove them to reveal, I assume, a nice clean image of the player underneath stamped on the metal. If anyone has a method of removing the seals, I'd appreciate some advice. They seem to be stuck in there pretty good.

leave the seal intact , i had some that were dirty like you describe a nice hot soap bath cleaned them up and only 1 or 2 of the seals came loose in the process, if they don't come clean enough as a last resort you could remove the seal , but it does hurt the value. jmho

I use hydrogen peroxide to clean instead of water. Plain water could lead to rusting.
