Satisfied with Hunt Auctions

Just want to report that I was very satisfied with the results of the auctions of the items from the son of Lubie Veal, former groundskeeper for the Expos, Reds, and Cubs, that were auctioned in a Hunt Auctions monthly auction and a live auction in the last month or so. The items included two WS rings, numerous autographed balls, a Big Red Machine stadium banner, etc. After checking with all major auction houses, I consigned the items on behalf of Mr. Veal's son. We chose Hunt Auctions because they frequently auctioned items from the estates of former players, managers, coaches, clubhouse attendant, groundskeepers, etc. The prices realized were great, and the communication with Hunt was regular. I wouldn't hesitate to again recommend or consign to Hunt Auctions.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
They have - in some cases - I guess - internet then live bidding...
I only bid internet and left a ceiling bid - when I looked in "my account" - it indicated my high bid was 297$ - and they don't indicate in your account whether you are fer sure the winner.
So, the winning bid was 350$ - didn't understand - I emailed them.
They're fast and courteous.
Turns out - the program doesn't reflect the "live" activity - so I was the high bidder at $350.
I'm very happy with the item!
I've won items in each of their last 2 monthly auctions. both months they 'lost' a lot that I won. Issued a refund and apologized. But happening two months in a row to the same person does not look good. Both lots were items that did not go for strong prices....I don't know if that had anything to do with them being lost or not.

I'm sure that's a comfort to both the consignor and you (the buyer).
Also, I think their absentee bidding process for live auctions seems wrong. I'm fairly certain that if you place an absentee bid with them, they begin the live bidding at that bid. I've don't this with them several times, and every time I won the item for my exact bid. Not sure how they should start the bidding, but a number UNDER my max bid would be nice.
And if they had a watch list for their internet bidding, I would buy much more from them. This is a favorite that I got from them at an ASG Fan Fest auction for a great price:

Wow - lightning hitting twice in the same place.
