To all my Red Sox friends from the board.

I just found this. From the first WS Game I ever attended. The seats were on the first base line. Yes, a GREAT view of THE PLAY! LOL

HAHA. Zep ... look at the price of the ticket ... I remember saying "Damn, I'm paying $60.00 to go to a ball game". (Went with an old girl friend ... I should have kept her ticket as well!)

Doug, Very cool. The 86 Series was my first as well. I attended game 3 ( Which the Mets blew out the Sox that night)

When I lived in Boston (not having grown up there), I remember I thought it would be funny to tell the following joke (which I had heard years before):

"Did you hear that Bill Buckner tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a bus? Unfortunately, the bus went between his legs."

Needless to say, after one or two times sharing the joke, I realized that re-telling it might not be such a good idea (this was pre 2004 after which Buckner was somewhat forgiven).

I basically had the same thought when I paid $100 for a ticket to Game 1 of the 1984 World Series (and the seat was in left-center field!).

Things started OK, but then Kurt Bevacqua tripped rounding second and got thrown out trying to stretch a hit into a triple, and it was all downhill from there image

Two world championships later I can finally admit what took place on that night. But it took two titles...

Doug, you really spoiled your girlfriend with those seats!!! There were no tickets available near the Agee marker?

I remember sitting with my college roommate who was a Cardinal fan and going from utter despair to elation. Funny, I don't remember much else from college that year. image

Scully and. Garagiola were fantastic calling that game. Made Buck and McCarver sound like amateurs. A very amazing night. Even Stevek enjoyed that one LOL. I remember those old school tickets too--glossy card stock with color, nothing like today's boring versions.

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

I was so nervous in the 2004 WS that I had to watch the play-by-play results on the internet and couldn't watch the TV (even the final game). By the way, I love Stephen King's book on the 2004 year of Red Sox Nation.

Yet another typical response from a fourth grader.

Hey Gheynote boy kiss my hair butt! Oh wait you probably would like that.

edit add: Only someone as ghey and as immature as you would suggest 2 guys "go and make out". I love how you act as the self appointed moderator. Personally I find 99% of your posts are worthless dribble. Grow up.

Wow. When I made may comment about two world championships, it was to deboneesq thread. It had nothing to do with the Yankees. More of how painfull it was to watch that Mets game.

And imagine my surprise to wake up this morning to read this thread and also find out I was "outed".

and the Mets have??? It's too bad the Mets didn't play against the Red Sox in all their World Series appearances ... if they did they would probably have FOUR World Championships! (Only joking)
