Hunt Auctions Question??

I am bidding on some items in tonight's Hunt auction for a friend. I just realized that it is possible to look at OTHER bidders' bid profiles, including their current bids and maximum proxy bids. (also includes name, address, phone and email for the bidder.)

I'm *stunned* that this is possible. I can't believe I'm the first person to discover this and am shocked the company hasn't done something to prevent it.

Am I the only one?

    Sounds weird to me, seeing as how you can't even see the bid increments...

    I just called Hunt Auctions and talked to some guy that didn't seem to believe me...until I emailed him a link that showed how easy it is.

    Let's see what happens.

    I'm not a big player in these things, so I'm more amused than upset, but I suspect others might come down on the other side of that line.

    Sounds like they have a glitch in the system right now.

    I agree most will not be amused.
    The best pitch to start a hitter off with is always strike one.

    how bad their auction web site is nothing would surprise me.

    I won an item in last night's auction - my first in a Hunt auction. I have received no invoice or communication of any kind on how to pay for the item or what shippings costs are. I don't see any such info on their site either. What rotten communication.

    Their website is terrible. It kept on taking me to an old auction unless I clicked intenet auction on the main page. I did win something and did get an amail today. They need to add more pics along with many more things to improve.

    I'm confused with the bidding this time.

    I bid on a lot - and my ceiling bid was higher than what it sold for but I wasn't the hi bidder - not sure what happened.

    Thanx - got out an email.

    They returned it this AM - fast and courteous - I was the winner - they're program leaves something to be desired - can't see why it doesn't say you're the winner like ebay?

    It's no big deal tho - it's not like I'm waiting for a kidney. image

    edit: I gave a 'suggestion' about the program and informing bidders - they're sure aware and the response - again - was polite:
