One of the many reasons why ebay has begun to charge FVF on the total including shipping.
    Collecting Pre-War, Pre-War HOF Types, Pre-War Postcards
  • LOL, I hope the card sells as the seller is probably unaware that Feebay will get 9% of the shipping fee, which will cost him more than if he sold the card for 2500 & free shipping as I believe there is no limit on the shipping fee of 9% of 2500= 225.00. where there is a limit on the FVF of the item 2500.00 = 100.00 maximum FVF. LOL

Sometimes, people think they are out smarting someone, but they are too stupid to realize they are out smarting themselves.

He will actually pay a higher value fee now, because if he had just made the opening price higher, they have a max cap that they can only charge ($100 I believe)....now the shipping will be hit with the full fee ($250).....some people just don't have much sense.

I thought that doesn't start until June?
  • Somone actually bid on it as well,

I had this happen to me years ago when I first started using E-bay. I bid on a Farve Mini with Farve Holo & won it for $55.00. I later got the invoice that showed the shipping was $250.00. I explained my newbie status with the seller & he re-listed with no neg feedback.

I now find myself looking at the shipping everytime I see something that looks to good to be true.....

If you won the auction and didn't notice the $2000+ shipping, would ebay let you back out of it?
