I am not sure it will grade based on the surfaces

Would you care to elaborate on that response?
The surfaces look just fine to me.

IMO PCGS would not grade the coin due to corrosion/environmental damage. Look around 'Canada' on the obverse. I think the coin has AU wear.

They have kind of an odd rough/textured look. Could just be the way it was photographed.
I'd go with AU50-55

I agree that it would be body-bagged by most TPG's due to heavy corrosion. Wear-wise, it's an AU but will never make it due to the surface.

Corrosion looks possible based on the image
Also, the surfaces in general look porous
Based on the forgoing, it may not grade

from the photos I'd be with the majority and say AU detail/ corrosion

Appears to be to clean also. Probably just dipped in Acetone.
