I realize these more modern proof sets have little value, but.....

That's what makes them fun and easy to acquire.

I'm trying to put together a PCGS registry set of Elizabeth 11 British Commonwealth coins.

And this means close to a dozen countries which were still British possessions when she
assumed the throne in 1953. If I can ever get that one done I'll try to do it with George VI-
even more possessions and probably too expensive to finish, but nice when I can pick
one up that fits every now and then.

These is a 1964 Baliwick of Jersey proof set that I just got from the seller.

All of the coins were beautifully toned by nearly 50 years of resting against the felt and the satin
and were really a joy to see in that condition.

BIG plus, no carbon spots on the coppers!!

I'm only posting a few images-the ones that are not too much out of focus by my tilting them
to bring out the colors.....

No,no- the kids and the cat are all right honey.
It's just that I got my PCGS grades.

Mint sets are steals even though they're up a lot the last couple years.

The scarcer proof sets are major sleepers as well. This especially applies
to lower mintage sets of major countries.

Collectors should be aware that mint sets are often virtually proof quality
and that there exist hundreds of mint sets not listed by Krause. ...Usually
because they aren't official mint sets but made by the central bank or a
    US coin company.
