Need help with Crossover/Crackout Grade

Morning,

Picked this up in a larger deal. Don't understabnd how SGC could have given this a NM+ 7.5 to begin with. Debating whether to sub as is, for crossover with no minimum Grade or to crack out and sub, both ways asking for No Qualifiers. I see this as either way max grade is EX-MT 6.

Any other thoughts?

    Neil,

Too bad it's OC. I agree with you, I think you'll get a 6 or perhaps a 6.5. I would probably sub it as a crossover.

SGC has never really hammered cards on centering, especially when that one was graded, back before they put the 1-10 grades on the flip too. With that centering on the back you'll probably get a MC qualifier even if you ask for no qualifiers, or you are looking at a straight 3-4 grade with no q's.

I'd move it as is, with good front and back scans, and rid myself of that ugly duckling. Pack it in so to say. image

That's what I am afraid of, no matter what I ask it gets a qualifier. As part of the bigger picture of the deal, I didn't give too much for it, if I leave as is and can move it for 5 money I'll be ahead of the game.

    Thanks

There you go, you have your answer. Don't throw more $$ into it with grading fees and shipping, list it with good scans and take what you can get.
  • Hi Neil,

I would leave it in that holder. PSA will hammer you on the centering.

That was the best possible outcome. A flip chaser bought that one.
