Which would you rather have...Martin Brodeur's PSA 10 Score Canadian or American Rookie

Thoughts?

Anyone know the pop on PSA 10 for both or the past sales records?

Canadian... The Canadian issue has always held a premium in PSA 10. There are 481 American PSA 10's out of 3419 graded (14.1% of the population) versus 198 Canadian PSA 10's out of 1186 graded (16.7% of the population).

    Gotta do both IMO

If not both, then *I* would go American because i am in the US and prefer Topps to O-Pee-Chee

It depends on whether you want the card for the image on the front, or the text on the back. If French text gets you all heated and excited then buy the Canadian; if all you care about is having a RC of one of the greatest goalies ever than buy whatever is cheapest.

Ask yourself this: Why am I buying the card? And why is it important to me to have it in PSA 10? You answer those 2 questions and you'll know what to do.

I'd buy the Canadian. But I would wait another year at least as the price on these continue to plummet as the pop reports for PSA 10s continue to rise. Very similar to 1989 Topps or OPC Leetch rookie.

The Canadian one for me. I like the red score logo and it has a better gloss
and just looks more vibrant to me.

Both Score issues from 1990 are so plentiful that it is only a matter of time for pop numbers to double or triple in PSA 10 for this card. I would say it will always be a desirable card, but not for an investment. Buy both, in time.

I always laugh at someone that loves football.
The game takes something like 2 1/2 hours and there is only 12 minutes of actual action - so boring.

  • The pop #'s for PSA 10's will skyrocket while the price will inevitably drop. I decided to get both versions but looking back that was silly. Canadian version for me -- like Jay said, the francais does it.
Collecting HOF RC's in hockey, baseball, football and basketball. A fool's errand some have said.
