Dominican Republic 300 peso Proof copper 1983

Sorry, no pics on this. Won it at a police seizure auction on a whim and having tough time getting any info on it. A silver version recently autioned on the bay but otherwise I am coming up dry about this coin.

Anyone know anything about it?

Probably a cupro-nickel piefort, given the odd denomination.
