Any card shops in San Antonio TX ?

I am going to be in San Antonio next week for a conference.
Anyone know of any good card shops or shows.

  • This one is supposed to be good, I've never been there personally but I've had a few friends who told me they had a decent selection...

What's On Second - the owner is an awesome person and I have been going there since they opened up in 1993. They aren't much for graded material and you aren't likely to find a lot of choice vintage cards, but he has millions of singles and is beyond fair with pricing.

The guy who owns Sportscards plus is very nice - he's retired from civil service - he had a single store - then combined his wife's gift shop with his - and then went back solo again.

Interestingly - I found his shop up for sale on ebay last year - he wanted like 100k - everything.

I went into his new shop and found it to be very nice - but I'm ashamed to admit - I'm lazy - I don't like driving that much - and procrastinated going back - my loss.

That reminds me - there was a shop in SA - Who's on First - I think the guy's name was Gilley?

Anyone from that neck of the woods remember?

Being in the Army - I passed thru Ft Sam a few times in my career.
