your packs were exactly like mine.. although I thought the seals were good.. and I figured the difference in packs may have resulted from different boxes?
some of my gum was mildewed? looked almost burned one piece of gum was chipped and the missing chip was not there.. that was one concern but figured not enough to really be worried could have broke of in production.
I think the packs were good in my opinion although I pulled very little which is my standard.
I opened a couple of boxes last year that were pulled from a sealed Conlon case and all the packs in one box had cards face out on the back of the pack and the other box had the back of a card facing out, so it's not uncommon for these anamolies to occur in legit boxes. Usually, there is one change in direction with the face of the cards midway through the pack, but I've seen more than one change inside a pack that was pulled from a sealed case, too. Topps quality control in 1975 was very poor don't forget. Now, if you see gum or wax stains on cards in the middle of the pack, that's a different story altogether..
Edit: As far as the other issues the OP is mentioning in his post, I'm not sure about that, and that does give me pause. I'm going to check my packs when I get home later tonight. I'd really hate for these packs to be in poor condition, as I had to return mine last time around due to damage.

I experienced the same mildewed gum, and some of the packs were in two directions. I must say, I just went to local show in Glendale and I submitted 20 cards that should come back PSA 8, hoping for a couple of PSA 9. I was lucky enough to pull a Robin Yount. I am hoping for PSA 8, but it might be a PSA 9OC. I thought the things you have mentioned were a little odd when I opened the packs, but why put a pretty nice Yount in there, and half of my cards were very nice. Also, a Seaver which may grade PSA 8?
By the way, Carol was at the PSA booth today, and she is very nice. It was nice to meet her today, and I saw Laura Rosenberg at the Anaheim Comic Con last weekend. She is really nice as well.
I am going back tomorrow, I pretty sure Jimrad will be there. Please let me know if you are going, I would love to meet some more members of the board

1. Normal 2. Half way though the pack, they typically reverse, maybe twice. Unsure about every other card. 3. Not sure what you mean about this one, it's either the gum stain on the front or wax stain on the back. The gum stains vary, could be dust, could be a tough build up, could be a bleed through, could be nothing at all.
I just looked at mine and they look to be in great shape. The seals look original and some of the wrappers do look a little aged, but the packs do look original, IMO..I'll be opening a couple later to check out the cards themselves and will post on the other thread..

Every time a see a box or pack run (I've opened maybe 6 whole boxes and now two group rips) with such massively OC cards, it makes me appreciate how rare a solid Mint 9 or Gem Mt 10 mini is. I guess that's why I drop mad loot on low pop 9 commons.

The more I open, the more I appreciate the Mint 9's plus as well.
I just opened six of my twelve packs and I must say that these cards are very nice indeed---much better than average for 75 mini stock in terms of centering and quality. I also got a few packs with scorched/mildewed gum but only the first or at worst first two cards were affected. No questions these packs are 100% legit as the sequencing is correct as well. I'm going to post my better pulls on the group rip thread.
