Home World & Ancient Coins Forum

Things are slow so I am going to post some coins.

These are from a box I got out of my safety deposit box to image, quick and dirty. Enjoy! -Dan

Thanks! I am actually more partial to the aluminum piece because I actually forgot that I had it and it is another piece I do not have to buy to finish my aluminum set!-Dan

I like the coppers best. Nice honest wear on them, which is refreshing from the usual MS stuff.

Can you even imagine WHO may have actually touched these coins? I think that is what I always consider when I buy whatever catches my eye! -Dan

You sound like an ancients collector. image

Thanks for posting the interesting coins. I like the half pice. I like, and casually collect, coins of Colonial India.
I collect history in the form of coins.

I wish I could get my mind around ancients, but to be honest with you, it is enough just to get my mind around the "modern" foreign that I am focusing on now.

However, I can see how one could really get into the research and collecting Asian and ancient coinage. -Dan

Nice honest coins all around. Really are the kind of coins that get you thinking. I like em image

Funny how there's the light scratches around the cartouche on the FIC 1c.. from what I've seen these notoriously collect verdigris around there, looks like someone worked it off that one. Still a nice coin, I have one just like it, scratches and all image

Nice work on the photography - the copper in particular. You nailed the 1793 Bermuda piece!
