1993 Upper Deck High Series

Woo, ordered a box of these along with some solid vintage stuff from BBCE so I could fulfill my box ripping desires...and to prevent me from ripping the vintage.

So awesome to rip a box from your "core" collecting years (I was 11 in 1993 and I grew up in the baltimore suburbs, baseball was life).

Awesome how those cards just stick together and you have to tear them apart!

Pulled two jeters, but neither has a chance at a 9 or 10, but i DID pull two then and now holograms beating the odds!

So fun, I may have found my collecting guilty pleasure...1993 upper deck!

    Congrats on the 2 Jeters

I recently ripped open a box of 1993 UD hs and pulled 2 of them myself. But would grade PSA 8s so I am not submitting them.

Also if you are in the hunt for 1993 Upper Deck Gold Holograms.

Stay away from auctions like this.

I don't know the seller and don't know if the seller is legit or not but. Many sellers know that the 1993 gold hologram sets came 1 per case. Most sellers would rip sets open until they found the gold hologram set. Then they would sell the remainder sets for top dollar with the whole "It might be a gold holograms set" as a marketing scam. When they in fact know it won't be a gold hologram set. Just a heads up in case you didn't know...

I also ripped a box of 1993 Pinnacle series 2 and pulled a Jeter. Not great centering but should grade nm-mt+. Its in between an 8 and 9 so maybe it will grade 8.5 I hope.

I also ripped a box of 1993 Bowman and got the skunk. No Jeter.

    edit add:

    Also what does this mean?

Can you stick those 1993 upper deck in the freezer for a little bit before you open them so they do not stick together? I have opened a ton of that product and every Jeter has not gloss because they stick together.
    Registry Sets:
    T222's PSA 1 or better

The "Then and Now" Holograms were an insert set of old time players like Nolan, Cal & Ozzie.
  • I feel you on the 1993 Upper Deck baseball.

My latest retro-wants are 1993-1994 Skybox basketball and 1990 Donruss baseball. image
