1961 Topps Mantle Is it worth grading? See scans

Still trying to get together enough cards for a sub and was wondering if this would be worth subbing since the front is off center so bad? If so what do you think it would grade ?
Thanks

Maybe even a MISCUT (not graded).....notice how it flairs out with what they call a "bat wing" at the bottom right front of the card?? PSA tends to not like that.

Thanks for your opinion, anyone else care to comment?

Edit: I did measure the card and it doesn't appear to have been trimmed. I have owned this card since the late 80's.

<< <i>I think Bobbyw1234 hit it on the nose, a 6/7oc and possible trim along the right side of card >>
Could you explain the possible trim? I just used a steel rule under 5X mag. and it measures 2 32/64 at 3 different points on the card and 3 32/64 from top to bottom. Maybe I'm missing something? Please exlain where you are seeing the trim.
Thanks again for all inputs.

I recently asked the board about whether a group of low grade Mantle I had just bought should or should not be graded, and the majority of those responding said that any and all Mantles should be graded.
Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.

<< <i>I wasn't saying it was trimmed intentionally. When cards are cut from the factory, they sometimes don't get cut straight. PSA will deem the card MISCUT and not grade it. I don't mean miscut, as in qualifier MC where another part of a card is showing, or some print on your card is cut off. The best way to tell if a card is miscut from the factory is to look for a slight curve look near one of the corners. >>
Thanks for the info.

Good Luck

<< <i>I agree that this will likely get a PSA 6 o/c or 7 o/c.

I am going to be in the minority on this. Don't grade it.

Would you care to explain why? I would be very interested to hear your reasoning.

Comment was made completely from a selling stand point (one would likely get less for it in a mid-grade holder than raw), please disregard if it is for a personal collection.

Of course it all depends on how much you have in it. Personally, I'd keep it raw for my PC.

This card was part of one of my best deals of all time. I lived in N.J. from 1986-1988 and on my lunch break one day went to a local card shop in a mall in Parsippany. A young guy in his 20's came in and ask the owner if he would by his Yankee's collection. It was a large paper grocery bag and none of the cards were in sleeves or toploaders. The guy behind the counter looked inside and laughed then told him they were worthless. He pleaded for $20 bucks, and asked me if I was interested. I told him It wouldn't be right for me as a third party to get involved inside of a business. The owner turned and said if you want to give the guy $20 bucks it fine by me. He said there was a Rickey Henderson RC in the bottom, I felt sorry for him and gave him the $20 bucks. When I got back to work I took a quick look and I found around (10) 60's mantles' (most Vg due to centering or corner dings) , 20 or so Munson's, and over 500 vintage Yankee stars in VG to nrmt. I sold most of the Mantle/Munson stuff at a show in Short Hills a few weeks later and cleared over $1000 and I still have about 1000 cards mostly 70's Yankees. This is the only Mantle I kept from that purchase as it didn't sell due to being so far of center. BTW there were 2 Rickey Henderson RC in the bottom and both were EX+, I sold them also.
The old days.
