Question for McGwire Collectors

For my Topps Refractors Cardinals team sets, I have looked for a long time for the McGwires. I have a few, but still need several. If any of these are in your collection, where did you get them? I have looked on Ebay, Sportlots, and Beckett Marketplace. The only source that I have found for the McGwire refractors I need is Burbank Sportscards on Beckett. He literally has every card I need, but his prices are (IMO) outrageous. He is especially outrageous on the 1999 #220HR. Do any of you McGwire collectors have any duplicates?

I recently got the 2001 Pujols (green). The only cards I need to finish the team set run is the Gold Pujols and a bunch of McGwires.

If you pay Rob cash, he won't charge you tax. I live literally 3 minutes from there. If you ever want to save a few bucks that way, LMK. Happy to help. You may also be able to work out 5-10% off but probably not more if you call. Don't talk to Steve. He refuses to deal. You must talk to Rob.

Thanks for the input. However, when he is asking $115 for a card that probably wouldn't auction for more than $40 or $50, I have a problem buying his. Are McGwire refractors that rare and that expensive?

IMO there are a lot of McGwire collectors, so possibly they do carry a premium, I would try the phone call route, cant hurt!

Did you check www.checkoutmycards.com? Other options may be to put "wanted" posts on certain message boards.

I did checkout checkoutmycards. Everything that falls into the category I need that is on that site are cards that I already have.
