Best way to sell '50s-'70s team cards

I just bought around 200 baseball team cards ranging from '56 to '78 spread pretty evenly throughout those years (not a bunch of '78 junk). What's the best way to sell these? By team or by year? (Ex. a lot of 15 Cubs team cards from "57-'70 or a lot of 20 different 1965 team cards.) I'll probably sell the most valuable cards/cards in the best shape individually. Thanks

I'd sell them by team, and like you said, I'd sell the ones that are in the best shape individually.

  • Seems like you have a pretty good idea of what you want to do already.

There is no "best" way to sell something, different ways will make more money at different periods in time.

Recommendation, take it for what it's worth:

Sell the Yankees, Cubs, Dodgers, Red Sox (or any other widely collected teams... Indians, perhaps?) in team lots.

Sell the remainder as year lots.

id list the 56 and 57s individually on ebay (raw commons in those years tend to sell) and the rest into about 20 card lots by team first, year second

I would sell any team cards in NM or better individually and the rest by year for the set builders out there. I would think that someone collecting a particular team would probably have some of the team cards already and may not pay as much for the entire team lot if they only need a few cards from it. JMHO.
