I decided to follow that adage this year. So on Monday I sold equities and am now more than 95% cash. I was around 50% equities before Monday's sell. It's been an unbelievable run since March 2009.

Seeing no real difference in fundamentals, no big follow through on OBL takeout, foreign gov'ts buying gold and selling dollars, QE2 ending in June, etc...etc...I decided to have a less stressed summer. I will still eye the metals though. Especially silver.

Yep, right there with you. I never really had more than half in stocks, but it feels good to be out.
