There's something about that story that smells fishy. The lady was in the guy's house on Sunday. By Thursday they are at the smelter and found to be doctored.

She had the equipment and motivation to drill, fill and cap the bars right away? I sure couldn't do it that fast.

I wonder if the bars were drilled and filled before they were stolen?

There is nothing right about this story.

I'm also skeptical. Something must have happened and hopefully there will be a follow-up story getting everything straightened out.

Interesting. $11,100 / 3 = $3,700 each in payment, yet the owner is claiming $85,000 / 19 = $4,473 each. I am curious as to the timeframe each of those numbers were calculated.

If true, she knew they were hot, and sold them cheap. That part doesn't bother me. I just have problems with the drill and fill part.

Horrible article to me. Paragraph says the victim didn't know the girl, then in the next paragraph said he knew she was at his house a few days before. So which is it. And where are the other 16 bars. Patsy setup for insurance claim?

Never says that the victim did not know the "girl."
It does say that many of the bars were recovered.
    .
Must be a big, strong "girl" to move 1900 ounces. Wonder why she left one?

Read it wrong, put a 'not' in there. Still though, something is off.

It appears the home owner had 20 100 oz bars stashed in the wall, she stole 19 of them. Then she sold three to the dealer which at one time been hollowed out. The home owner must have bought some filled bars before he stored them in the wall and had no clue he had been ripped off twice.
