FS on Hunt Auctions: WS and AS rings

Check out these rings: 1975 World Series Reds, 1976 World Series Reds, and 1990 all star game. These rings belonged to the late Lubie Veal, who was the groundskeeper/field attendant for the Cincinnati Reds during the Big Red Machine years and later for the Chicago Cubs. The WS rings have "VEAL" engraved on the side. They are being auctioned by Hunt Auctions during mid-May. You can see them closer on the Hunt Auction site under "current live auction."

Not sure who the member is, but there is a fellow member on this board who last year told us about a lot of items he had from Lubie. I believe Lubie was the father of one of his friends.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

That was me. I helped Lubie's son consign these items to Hunt. The less expensive items were sold by Hunt in its monthly internet/phone auction (small catalog) last mibnth. We were pleased with the results. We hope the rings and other items in this bigger live auction do well, too. The Reds banner that flew over Riverfront is very nice.
