Would you re-sub this Nolan Ryan rookie card?

It doesn't look miscut to me. I don't see part of another card. It is just terribly o/c. Should I re-sub and would I be better off if I got a grade of 6 o/c rather than a grade of 6 mc? Thanks for your opinions.

What is PSA's definition of MC compared to OC? I know I'd rather have the OC instead of the MC designation.

PSA Registry point wise, I think a 6 MC and a 6 OC are equivalent to a PSA 4. For me the card is the card no matter the holder, so I would leave it as is and not spend the money to change it.

Thanks for your comments. I think I'll leave it in this holder.

I would sent it back for reholdering and question the miscut. That card is not miscut. It fits in the holder so that rules out any type of diamond type of cut, and it doesnt have any border missing or another card on it. I see no miscut. I would not think it would be any $$$ difference but I would rather have the oc. Call them and maybe get an answer that way.

I have exactly the same card with an MC - I just got it returned to me by PSA and it seems it should at least be OC and not MC. This must be common in the Ryans

I would contact Joe Orlando about that card. The (MC) designation looks to be in error. While the two are the same for registry purposes, (MC) is a kiss of death in auction listings.

Crack it, send it to Waverly and he will pimp your card and make it NM in about 3 days. He is like the West Coast Customs of sports cards. image

I have a PSA 7 (MC) Nolan Ryan RC that looks very similar to your card. Eventually I'm going to get it re-graded by BGS or SGC. I always request "no qualifiers" when submitting to PSA, but sometimes they give it a qualifier anyway.
