Made a purchase today, what do you think? would you have done it differently?

A point I struggle a bit with is trying to make a fair offer, but an offer where I still have a little room for profit. The crazy metals roller coaster makes that a bit harder to do IMO, when trying to be safe if/when there's a correction.

Also, No one seems to want to say what they think something is worth, or what they'd offer. You alway hear a bunch of "it's worth what someone will pay" or some other cop out.

So....here's a lot I bought today for 1100 dollars.

I figured it at:
500 for the two indians
300 for the Liberty gold
100 for the ASE's
100 for the three morgans
40 for the trime
60 for the rest

and that's knowing that the half dollar is a bit of a good date.

What do you think, did I steal it or overpay, or get it right

And more to the point...
...what would YOU pay for the lot? consider your comfort level with buying raw gold, and what you think metals are going to do.

I'd have purchased one really nice coin for the grade or a key date with the money.

I prefer quality to quantity when opportunity arises.

I like the gold you got.

The rest does nothing for me.

    Good luck!

That $2.5 Liberty looks very nice - I'm generally suspicious of raw gold, but I like the looks of that coin, and for $300 is probably a very good value.
