Question about Economy Submissions?

ModCrewmanModCrewman Posts: 4,041 ✭✭✭✭✭
I just received my last quarter's CC economy submission back from PCGS after receiving my grades earlier this week, as discussed in this thread.

I was anxious to receive the coins back for another in hand look to see what I had seen, prior to submission, that PCGS did not. I don't have any big problem with the numeric grades. But honestly even looking at the coins in hand again...I have no idea how the dime and half didn't receive the Cameo designation. So I ask...

"Is the CAM/DCAM designation awarded on economy submissions if the coin warrants it?"

They do appear to have mirrors and cameo devices.

The graders have no clue as to the submission level when they grade the coins, so yes CAM/DCAM are awarded on economy submissions.

Thanks for opining Steve. Your answer makes sense...the lack of designation on the other hand... imageimage

For coins to receive CAM & DCAM designations. It must warranted on both sides of the coin.

I have last 1/4's submission in too and am curious on turnaround time for you.

It was a full 30 business days from receipt at PCGS to receipt of grades...from March 15 - April 26.
