    not sure really? Has the look of NT, but I've seen similar colors produced artifically and the reverse is blast white.

    My first, gut, reaction is NT

    I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    MA = Market Acceptable
    (ie....may be AT but hard enough to tell that it gets holdered and is considered market acceptable)

    If I just saw the image and knew no background I would lean heavily towards NT...knowing who sold it....tells me there is a 99% chance it's AT. That's a coin I would love to see in hand to see how the color and luster lay on the surface..... image

    I don't ever see 1916 dimes looking like this. They are either dipped out or have that darkish brown/black mottled look to them.
    (could be AT as well.....Accelerated Toning).

    I would call this market acceptable. Because of the toning on the reverse along with carbon spots on the obverse and the way it all blends together I think the toning was unintentional.

    The hairy carbon and dark foggy areas on the upper obverse say to me the coin was dipped and then quickly put in storage or contact with a toning source. But it doesn't look accelerated with gas or liquid or e-


    I've seen lincolns that I suspected received a very minor cleaning then pick up the thinny type of peripheral toning from albums - and the giveaway are the hairy carbon spots always in the corner of a letter or in the crevace of the relief.

    I'd like my copper well done please!
