Shiny things for color nuts :+)

I fell in love with the 1973 Haiti proof set when a seller featured one coin in a PCGS holder that just about
knocked me over.

I rambled around on Ebay for a few weeks, located 3 of them over that period, Of the 3 I ended up reselling
2 of them since none of them displayed the kind of color I see on the seller's site.

The chemical makeup of the plastic holders that these coins were placed in did some marvelous things in
toning the coins in some of the sets-beautiful coral pinks, robin's egg pastel blues, emerald green, just
an artist's palette of colors that are truly amazing.

As usual my images aren't the best. I always have to tilt, rotate and usually throw parts of the coin
out of focus to get the best of the color display.

The color on all these coins is essentially the same-both sides, all four coins. The difference is in the
degree of tilt, or which side is tilted resulting in different colors being more highlighted.

Anyway.....

Oh dude!!! Begging for a "YOU SUCK" will not get you one!!! They have to be earned!!! and unless you picked up those coins for about 4 cents, it's not even close to being "YOU SUCK" worthy!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • God I wish I could get a "You Suck" award; just once in a lifetime of collecting.
