ANACS SLABBED MORGANS

TOOK SOME RECENTLY GRADED ANACS MORGANS, MS-63-66 TO A DEALER.
THEY CHECKED SOME COMPUTER PROGRAM AND CAME UP WITH SOME
REALLY, IN MY OPINION, LOW OFFERS, AS COMPARED TO GREYSHEET BID FOR PCGS.
I'VE SEEN A FEW EXAMPLES THAT THEY BRING A LITTLE LESS ON AUCTION SITES.
HOW MUCH LESS, GENERALLY?
HOW ABOUT AT A COIN SHOW?

And, turn the caps lock off, otherwise, I don't know if I can post again.

But Iam glad I had my volume turned down
In general, collectors aren't willing to pay as much for ANACS coins as they are for PCGS and NGC because of the perception that they don't grade as strictly (which is a great topic of debate). As a result, dealers aren't willing to pay as much for them either. "Buy the holder not the coin" often becomes a B.S. theory in these circumstances, because most dealers simply quote what the market reality is. (But when they go to sell them it's often a totally different matter.)
I tend to expect to pay 25% less for ANACS coins. It's not always easy to do so, however, and at that level some of them are like finding money on the sidewalk. Some are less. Some are more. Some are the same. Like I said, there's no neat, easy answer.

That was pretty funny!
ANACS do sell for less, and I've personally noticed some dealers clearly only bidding the new higher prices for PCGS/NGC. That being said, there are some nice Morgans still in ANACS slabs that are graded just as tight as PCGS/NGC.

I'll give you 50 bucks more.
AL
you'll find that the ANACS coins go for less money.

And in most cases, they really didn't want to have to be bothered. There are always exceptions to the rule of course, but prepared to get the door slammed in your
face a lot with ANACS, Morgans being no exception. Good luck trying to get the $95-$110 price that common PCGS/NGC MS64 Morgans are currently bringing. That
ANACS coin will have to speak to you to get that price.
