Sounds like some decent packs but I'm playing the "glass is half empty". You didn't get the Brett guy or Ryan guy. Better luck next time. image

One green yellow, Stan Bahnsen. Might be a 7/8. The other green yellow is awfully miscut

image Congrats on the Yount!!! Looking forward to seeing the scan.

And great job by nendee running another great BBCE group rip from one Boilermaker to another!!!

I opened 6 of my 12 packs, and was very pleased with the quality and centering overall in these packs. Very nice. Not sure yet if I'm going to open the other 6, as I am also an unopened collector. Here are the better cards from my six packs, including a very nice Aaron #1, Carew and Schmidt, which is a bear of a card to find nice enough to submit. The commons are what really excite me for my graded set, though!

Nice star power in those 6 packs. The Aaron is just the slightest to the left, the Schmidt looks MC with that yellow border and the Carew, well, I want that one! There are a couple commons that look like 10's! Good luck on subbing those.
  • grote15grote15 Posts: 29,755 ✭✭✭✭✭
Thanks, Toro! The Schmidt card is one of those dreaded natural "shorties" and just about every green-yellow card I pulled had the yellow strip on top, which is very common for those cards.

I thought my scans might pull you out of hiding... image

Anyone else out there with some cards to scan? If anyone is interested in selling any raw minis, please PM me as I'd be interested in purchasing them. Thanks!

Shame that Etch seems to have a couple flaws; centered nicely and in a 9 holder would sell for around $500+.

Wound up ripping four more packs tonight, saving two which I will either rip or send in to PSA for grading. These packs are really sweet indeed. Here are some of the highlights from the four packs I opened tonight, including an appearance by Mr. Yount. The Morgan is as nicely centered as any I've seen.

I'd say the chance of you not ripping these last two packs, considering how nice these cards are, is close to a million to one, maybe higher. LOL

If this were a battle between the ripper and the unopened collector, I'd say the unopened collector is way behind on all three judges' cards, LOL..

BTW, Steve, I didn't know Ryan Howard was in the 1975 Topps set...oh wait, nevermind, that's Dave Kingman..image

    Steve,

You called it right. I think you are on a roll this year. No way Grote can stop himself now. As soon as he wakes up, he'll be ripping again...LOL.

Great job on the Morgan and the Yount is not too shabby either!!!

Congrats to everyone on a great rip. Almost makes me want to start collecting mini's...almost. image

  • Free for the taking. OC and the 4/5 together are gum stained. Outside of that, all great corners and etc.. very cool 75's. 1st reply with a picture or cut and paste url to a Bubble Bath Girl getting out of the bath, gets 'em. Just pm an address, po box, whatever after first reply.

Nothing at all David. DooshA is just mad because I banned him from cardboardtalk. He likes taking shots at me whenever he can just to make himself feel better about his pathetic existence.

Hope that clears it up image

heh heh.. He Did.. I joined CBT about, I think 6 months ago, and after one post.. BAMMED !!!

I was watching Mr. LSU post over there totally ripping on people here, how bad PSA sucked, the moderators are C's, etc.. So I joined CBT. My first post totally ripped on Mr. LSU. Complete anhililation of the dude.

BAMMED ! by an LSUTIGER supporter.

How's your best buddy now LMM ?

Even with whatever issues/problems Bill may have, I'd still rate him higher than you kshorton.

So tell me something, how many alts does DooshA now make for you? I'm counting at least 6 that I know of. Probably closer to 10. And you talk about Bill's issues?? How many id's does a normal person need or go through?
  • PM'd you LMM. I have just the one id here.

now.. who's starting the next 75 group rip.. or another year in the 70's ?
  • If available I'll take the 75 mini's. I have a graded set and a raw set i'm working on. There is always room for decent ungraded cards like these commons.

    Thanks!

i wonder why the mike schmidt card is almost always short for . is the way topps cut the sheets and schmidts card was always in a bad spot. i really do not know much about minis. i need to get a set someday.
