PCGS Secure Plus slabbing / grading of silver rounds

ZoinsZoins Posts: 34,401 ✭✭✭✭✭
I recently ran across this eBay auction on a PCGS slabbed and graded silver round with the denomination of "Ounce."

Is the grading of silver rounds something PCGS is generally getting into? Anyone know of other graded rounds?

Perhaps they will now they are grading medals?

Perhaps the holder from China is a fake?

People have been requesting this for some time and I'm sure it would be welcome. Has there been any announcement on this?

Possibly but the PCGS Cert Verification page indicates the cert number is for an Ounce of the same type.

Willis sent out an eMail yesterday regarding PCGS beginning to grade medals, but he only wrote in the specific context of the new puck-sized holders.

Chinese fakers are very good. Perhaps they hacked into the PCGS database?
