Does the PCGS guarantee apply if you aren't the original submitter?

If there is a fingerprint on a silver coin in a PCGS slab, but you aren't the original submitter - does the PCGS Grade guarantee still apply? Thanks.

Why wouldn't it since nothing about the coin changes if you sell it. As long as the holder remains intact and untampered with, I believe the guarantee applies. Also, I don't believe that you need to be a dealer or a CC member to exercise your warranty rights.

Yes, but a fingerprint might be acceptable for the grade.

Yes...it's for the coin, not the submitter.

I never even thought about the PCGS guarantee being used for a fingerprint on an encapsulated coin. Sounds like nice toning, with a fingerprint, might see a dip job.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

The Grade Guarantee require a $25 per coin charge in addition to the $8.00 handling fee.

I expect that the $25 is refunded if the coin does not meet grade but I won't know that until I get my 3 back. One of the coins was misattributed whereas the other two were simply overgraded with lots of white residue on the coins.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
