A bit off topic: use of sterling silver flatware?

Is sterling silver flatware still used by American families? It's been years since I've seen sterling silver flatware even advertised during wedding season, etc. Is it a relic of the past?
My wife and I own three complete sets of sterling -- I have Wallace Grand Baroque service for 16 plus serving pieces, special desset spoons and forks, the whole shebang that I inherited.
My wife has two large sets.
We've never used them even once.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

high time for a visit to your local PM dealer. No need to keep things around that aren't used

If you don't need the money, why sell them? Sounds like a nice store of value especially if inflation gets out of hand.

Also, sterling silver crosses are great if you have a vampire problem just as silver bullets will take care of any werewolves.

<< <i>I purchased a large set of PROCESSIONAL (STERLING Flatware) by FINE ARTS SILVER about five years ago and our family uses it daily. I would say there does appear to be a health benefit, the average amount of cold and flues, etc, have dropped to almost zero over that time period. That alone makes it worth using.

I'm an anti-hoarder if there ever was one. If it doesn't get used, it gets moved out

I understand completely. My wife doesn't believe in hoarding money.

parents and some of her Grandparents sterling. We use it on family gatherings.
My wife mentioned that the kids have never, even once, said they enjoy using the silver. She said
it's a pain to keep clean and polish. I said well, let's just put it in the batch of silver we are sending
to the refiner. She said how much is it worth. I said, oh $3 to $4 grand. Silence. Haven't heard a peep
but do expect to see it on my desk when we get ready to ship what we bought off to Midwest.

I have some random pieces of silverware after my great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents. But I'm really attached to it and would never sell, even if silver hit triple digits or more.
It will kill drug resistance germ that are resistance to antibiotics. I've taken Colloidal Silver for the last decade and have never been sick or missed a day from work in that period. The good thing about it is when flu season here you can be proactive since it will kill things before they start.
Did you know farmers used it in milk to prolong it's life span since bacteria will be killed by it. This was before modern refrigeration. It is also said during the plague that the "Blue Bloods" were save from it's raft due to the silver in their blood streams. Of course the reason they called them "Blue Bloods" is because they were over exposed to the metal and consumed large quantities that cause their skin to turn blueish gray. Wine tends to leach quit a bit of silver partical out and they used glasses, decanters, plates, flatware etc. Really even though they turned smirf it didn't affect their health and may have saved them. Home brewers are the ones that have to worry about that, modern Colloidal Silver that is in the proper parts per million will never cause an issue. In fact I've used it on wounds too with that and hydrogen peroxide I really have never needed anything else. I like it because it can be used before the fact instead of afterward which at that time it doesn't matter what you use it's going to take time to heal.
Use it and see if it helps, you might be surprised.
