Fake Trade Dollars seized in Chicago inbound from China

I'll probably get blasted for posting this on "the wrong forum", but I think all of you know how I feel about the U.S. coin forum.

Anyway, officials at O'Hare airport (Chicago) seized 361 fake Trade Dollars coming in from China. I like the part about the person that the package was supposed to be delivered to says he was going to sell them "on an auction website". Be careful outh there kids. People in America are knowingly doing this, even in mid-America now. I know it's not new news, but I'm glad something is finally being done, even if it's just on this relatively small scale.

    I just purchased 38/39 fake mexican silver coins on ebay a couple of weeks ago. I got my money back, however, after talking to the seller on the phone, I had a feeling he knew they were fake. Silver's current price is a counterfeit's dream.

    I bet our senators who are there in secret meetings will bring some fakes back as well

    I have no problem with you posting it to this forum.

    Besides, it was already posted on the U.S. Coin forum Thursday, so there was no need to post it over there.

    Didn't know about it til I watched tonights news Capt., and I refuse to take part in the drama of the U.S coin forum, so I guess I'm laggin a little.
