Need help authenticating and evaluating 1877 Indian 1C

image

1) It is authentic?
2) Sharpness grade? I have an idea, but I would like to see what you guys and gals think.
3) Value. I intend on getting it authenticated and properly "preserving" it a bit, but don't go by that.

Thanks,

Greg

If it's a fake, it has the eyeball diagnostics. I vote real.

In my personal opinion authentic XF details due to what looks like enviro damage /corrosion .....but I am still not one to go by and would wait to see what others say...what does it weigh?

Looks like a metal detector find. Real.

Looks genuine to me, with VF details. I'd say go ahead and send it in for authentication and encapsulation if you plan to sell it any time soon. Otherwise, tuck it in the back of your safe and forget about it till you are ready to part with it.

It is real, VF but corroded. I would leave the dirt on it. It gives it that "just found" look
