I think it was locked when it was taken to the new forum and a new one was started.
In the beginning...
I was the third unique poster to the thread on the first page, fell into it like water on water. GS is the creator of this forum, as you view it here, as a result of having over 10,000 posts on the original thread. It was so large that it started loading slowly even on the quicker computers. Also, we were taking a lot of grief from the coin nerds for not talking about coins, we were talking about bullion, money, governance and our money, what's going to happen to our bullion, current events as they may affect our PM and the cash we use to purchase them and just about everything in between, as it may relate to the title of the original thread: GOLD AND SILVER WORLD NEWS, ECONOMIC PREDICTIONS. That original thread evolved into this forum and a thread with over two thousand posts with a similar name as the original thread. The title has been modified slightly to: Son of Mother thread.
The last post to the original thread, before it became this forum, was by ttown on June 15th, 2009 at 12:47 p.m.. A day and a half later we had our own forum with GS as the first poster. Now, this forum draws lurkers from other universes, hundreds of unique posters, and GS is still posting here as is ttown. I believe that there are a good number of the early posters that still post. That, and a number of gifted new posters has resulted in a very dynamic, fast, linkified forum that covers a lot of ground, every day.
Enjoy...
Got CASH!
But at least I improved my standing in the "son of" thread by moving up to 6th. Always a bridesmaid.
I go back into that main thread from time to time in search of references. But the thread is so long it's next to impossible to dig stuff out unless you want to spend
an hour or two digging.
