First roll search, first silver find *possible 64 DDO?*

So I have been bitten by the roll bug now that I have tons of capital now that I don't have any loans or anything.

I went to the bank to get 500 bucks in quarters, and 500 in halves.

Conveniently the bank had all their rolls in shrink wrapped plastic, meaning all I had to do was glance, and saw a white edge, and low and behold, a BU 1964-d quarter.

Now I get to spend easter sunday with the mother in law going through filling out state quarter books for her 10! grandkids. Both mint marks, so that should be a challenge.

Does anyone have a quick list of post 65 quarters to look out for?

Seriously, though, good luck helping your MIL fill the state Q books! Been there, done that with our neice (although I gave her the large coin map after taking out the quarters & giving them to my BIL to "salt" in his change for her to find...)

If they continue with the Territory Q's and you need some, check back with me - - I may still have some extras.

This is by no means comprehensive, someone like cladking could give you many more things to look for:

    1970-D DDO, pick-up point (PUP) the date/IGWT
    1971 DDR, PUP AMERICA
    1976-D DDO, PUP LIBERTY
    1989 no-P overpolished die

There are also several SHQ varieties to look for (WI high- and low-leaf, MN and DC doubled die reverses)

    Sean Reynolds
Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

  • Thanks. I found:
    226.00 Dollars in state quarters
    1 -1964 d BU quarter
1 1971 DDR (handy working at a place that makes and sells microscopes.)
    9 Bi-Centennials
    6 Territory quarters.

    No America The Beautiful yet.

And I manages to stuff all the plastic wrappers back up, ready to go to the bank. All at my job.

    Wait, is that a Double-Die?

Would love to see a picture of the back you also need to look for the Type C 1964 d quarter.Or if its just a 64 P than the B type. Nice find and welcome to the roll searching club...........image
