Nazi paper money

I'm trying to find the amount of paper money that Nazi Germany printed from 1933–1945, by year, preferably in marks (though printing figures broken up by denomination would work as well). Thanks in advance.

  • Possibly that of the Weimar Republic as well.

Paper money forum is your best shot for getting an answer. By then there were only two issuing authorities, the Reichsbank and the Rentenbank. The latter issued notes up to 5 RM and the former issued from 5 RM(1942) to 1000 RM. The Lander banks, ie from Saxony, Bavaria etc had by then let their note issuing privileges lapse - I believe the last was in 1930.

The currency from both banks continued to circulate into mid 1948 when the Western and Eastern zones recalled all the currency - in the Western zone it was a 10:1 exchange.
