<< <i>I have a few rolls of both, bought em last year but not sure why, someone wanna tell me why I did.
seriuosly I have no clue why I bought em >>
Low mintage, I thank they will be the new 1982/83 coins hard to find, No one is looking for them at banks or banks don't have them, Mint is not selling them and they don't come in mint set's . And for the one's that say 29 or 40 mil mintage is not low look at it this way that will give every city in the US a roll or two and most of them went in to change at a store. No need to think about this one. I can't what to see what they sell for in the years to come.

While i totally agree and it's why i keep them too , i'm reminded of an elderly gentleman , lifelong collector , the mrs's dad actually , when i told him about the 2009 nickel he told me about the one from the 50's. I don't exactly remember which one but he was collecting at the time and there was a lot of hype about this one , he kept several rolls and loose ones but as of today some 60 years later theres minimal premium if any.

You are talking of the 1950-D That coin in AU/BU go's for $15 and up per coin or around $300 to $400+ a roll today not bad for a $2 roll at face or even a $10 roll in the after market at that time. But they did go as high as $800 to $1200 back in the day with all the hype. But this one has no hype yet.
Ahhh..thanks Type2 , i'll let him know , he always surprises me. Today he showed me a 1929 quarter eagle amongst some sac dollars asking what those were.I'm 100% sure the quarter eagle would grade very highly,it was absolutely pristine.1929 was his birth year and consensus is his grandmother (who was scottish) bought that for him when he was born. He had a medicine bottle some 3 inches high with my name on , said he kept those aside for me and ..well..you can imagine it's one of those tubes i do and i dont want to open. He's 85 years old , a collector all his days , there's no telling whats in there.

<< <i>Tightbudget, what state are you from? I know of one state where these have been found, but that has been it. >>
I found this in Baltimore, MD. I have searched boxes in NJ without success and the occasional loose roll that I've purchased from banks around where I am now have had nothing meaningful.
