'78 Dodgers (straight 9s, homie) finally at 100%!!

Johnny Oates has found a new home, and with his inclusion I'm finally done with my 1978 Topps Dodger set. 1978 was the year my card collecting began in earnest, and to this day it remains one of my all-time favorite sets.
As the title states, this set is complete in PSA 9. I don't have much desire to upgrade - the '78 collectors are an insane bunch!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Hopefully you didn't get mugged on the Oates . I'm sure the hostage -man , would've had you bend over first. ----- Sonny

Superb group.
Congrats on obtaining the Oates. Where'd you get it?
thanks for all the nice words, everyone. I'm pretty happy to have finally put this thing to bed. I can't believe the Oates took so stinkin' long.
Since I recently upgraded to Windows 7, my old visual html software isn't compatible anymore. I used jalbum to create a little slideshow of the set. Hope this presents right.

Cool slideshow.
I put it into another slide format - for you to view. Press the box with the arrows to the right of the slide to make it "full screen."
It's set to music.
Again - congratulations!
But I fail to see the big deal about Oates. Good grief...I have been trying to find that PSA 9 Terry Forster for my set for almost 10 years!
That's the toughie, IMO.
SOM, I was told early on in the quest that Forster was going to be the toughest card by far. Luckily I was able to strike a great deal with Frank (theczar) and nail down Forster and Lopes at the same time.

I have the '78 Twins set in all PSA 9- it's one of only two registry sets I've ever actually completed (and the only one I still have).

We're also still convinced that you (plural) were deliberately screwing with us when you (plural) were unloading your castoff Oates. If you (plural) recall, it started at $275 and slooooooooowly worked it's way down to $60. You (plural) knew I needed an Oates to finish up my set and in our (and pretty much everyone else's ) opinion chose to play games.

I was just thinking...
Remember Dan aka Softparade was trying to put together a killer 78T set.
I had sent him 20 or so cards and he got a few 10s along with 9s! I had gotten a killer vending from Mark Murphy back around 1994.
<< <i>bbg - if we had wanted to reveal where we got the Oates to finish our set, we would have posted it ourselves. Perhaps you (plural) were just trying to be helpful, but we're not real sure about that.
