<< <i>.......don't know if it is a bigger hofstra show this weekend........... >>
When it's more than one day it's always the bigger show.
I will be there when it opens on Saturday at 10am and it is definitely the bigger show that's held twice a year.
Also, be sure to get any unopened cello and rack packs with stars showing asap since Muggy will be there and you won't stand a chance!!!

You wanna do a lil Secre Santa in the Spring?
How about we bring a pack for each other and exchange a greeting and a gift? Price point entirely up to you, $10, $25, $50, or $100. Of course I know, no football for you!
Ho ho ho?
I'll take a look tonight and let you know the price range I'm thinking. I'm assuming I need to find one with a star on top...LOL. Does it matter if it is a cello or rack pack? LMK
Since I know what you guys look like from the videos, I'll have no problem finding you but I could walk around holding a sign that says "cpamike".
We could also just pick a place and time to meet at the show. LMK.

I actually found a couple of rack packs which are worth around $25 or so in total with stars on top of course. Does that work for you?
Does anyone else want to get in on our unopened pack exchange fun?

Doug
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
As far as Yogi goes, I would get him asap. I love Yogi but I think unfortunately his time is just about up. I can't see him doing too many more shows and appearances.
Looking forward to seeing that '52 Yogi!!!

most of it should be relatively inexpensive:
- game programs : $1 to $10 (KICK Magazine style are common, 1971 to 1974 harder to find
- buttons - Cosmos / Pele : $2 to $5
- misc. : ticket stubs, team photos : $1 to $2
I will trade cardsgenereously as well a pay cash - your choice.
Let's go Cosmos!
Your Cosmos post brought back memories. As a kid my dad was a huge soccer fan. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood in the Bronx where the majority of kids were the children of Italian and Greek immigrants. We played soccer as a break from baseball, football and basketball.
Anyway, as a kid in the late 70's, my summer Sunday's consisted of going to Jones beach with a few other families. We would have breakfast and lunch on the beach. Leave by 3 PM, get back to the Bronx, by 4-4:30. Shower change and get to Giants stadium in the MEadowlands NJ for the 7 PM Cosmos game.
I didn't realize it at the time, but those players were some of the greatest in the world. We all knew Pele, but I was able to watch Messing, Carlos Alberto, Giorgio Chinaglia, Beckenbauer, Iskandarian, Bogejavich. It seemed the Cosmos would recruit the best player from every foreign country. Every game was a 75,000 fan sell out.
Great memories.
Will there be any modern dealers there i still need 7 more 2010 Gold cards from Topps.
I am looking for someone to maybe look for me! If you can please pm me.
I didn't do as well as I had hoped. Not much vintage unopened packs to be had. I think you guys have ripped them all.
I did pick up a few cards I needed, particularly the 1962 Rookie Parade Pitchers card to almost complete my run of complete Mets sets from 1962 to 1988. Now to break down and fork over the $500 for a decent Seaver rookie...LOL.
Here is what I got for those of you who are interested...

Mike - what do you mean by "the exchange" on Mugster's items?
Nice pickups BTW.
<< <i>Sweet packs and box. I did pik up the Jim Bouton Rookie Parade card as well. Those things can get expensive. >>
Tell me about it. I've been looking for that Rookie Parade card for a while in decent condition. It's great to cross that one for my list. Come to think of it, I need to update my signature section.

Mike - You snuck in while I was replying to 72skywalker and I just realized it.
Muggy came up with the idea to exchange unopened packs like a Secret Santa. I gave him a 1975 cello pack with Rollie Fingers on top and a 1984 Fleer cello pack with Gaylord Perry on top.
It was
