Opinions on Griffey Jr Autos....
The backstory is that these were signed in Vermont in 1988....
How to they look to people who have collected Griffey over the years.
If you were to submit to PSA would submit just for the auto authentication?
Thanks in advance,
Jon

<< <i>While far from a Griffey expert, these don't look right to me, but I guess I'm more interested in the provenance...What was Ken Griffey Jr. doing in Vermont in 1988?..was there a show that he appeared at (which can be documented)?.....he played ball on the west coast, so it's not like he was there on a road trip...

They are from an auto collector who collected HOF Plaque cards and Minor League team sets. He would get these autographed at shows and in person and through the mail in the mid 80's The cards he gave me for helping him here spot on for the time (Mo Vaughn, John Valentin, Varitek & Nomar)
I sold quite a bunch of HOF auto plaque cards for him 10 years ago and all passed muster.
He had a vacation place in Vermont and Griffey played there for part of the EL season in 88.
This guy had a tremendous collection. My favorite was when he sent Bill Terry a request for an autograph on something (ball or card not sure) that already had Ted Williams. Very cool to have the lst players to hit .400 on the same item. Terry sent him a letter asking for a taken donation, something like $10 and Terry signed the letter. The guy sent a check and Terry returned the item. He then had 3 Bill Terry autographs. 1 on the item, one on the donation request and one on the cancelled check.
<< <i>Those look like early period autos, I had an 8x10 with the same sig that had JSA on it, extremely vertical like that, when in doubt quick opinion it >>
How would I do this? I have never done it before...
Maybe I will just piggyback with someone and send them in.
