Is this real?

I picked this 3x5 up about 10 years ago and I am thinking about getting it graded. Do you think it looks legit? Ithink it looks legit, just want some other opionions before I drop $75.00 to get it authenticated.

  • Both the G's are way way way off, J looks wrong, o looks wrong, there is no i (Normally the J is higher if there is no i)....

    edit*

I really really don't like this autograph, waiting for someone to come yelling the other way.

I agree with Sean. The "J" looks way off to me and like Sean said, there is no "i".

Take a look at some of the auctions on eBay right now for comparison purposes. If I knew how to link to a specific auction, I would.

what about this 1952 Exhibit card. Ive had it for quite some time, I always think it looked fairly good but you never know.

Whats your guy's thought on it. any flags???

I was thinking of sending in some of my raw sigs and see how they come back, but also would rather not loose fees on ones that may be questionable.

PS when I sell raw signed cards I ALWAYS give a guarantee the card will pass 3rd Party Authentication (if buyer wants), or a full refund....

  • Fkw your PM's aren't on, but I think it is good, when he signed without the i the J's go much higher (as I said in the previous post), I'm not an expert but I think it is good

For just over $100 you can buy a Pinnacle set with the DiMaggio auto in it. I'm leaning towards pulling the trigger on one myself.

You're essentially playing the lottery when it comes to authenticating Dimaggio, Williams and Mantle. I think even PSA and JSA basically flip a coin to decide whether those guys are good or not. There are plenty of Operation Bullpen autos in slabs with PSA and JSA certs.

That being said. I do believe that the 3x5 would NOT pass, the Exhibit probably would.
