Gotta love it!

So I recently get an invoice from an auction house. I won a 50 card lot for $30. I get the invoice and they charge me $8.90 to ship and then they add $3 for insurance. I'm feeling a little aggravated by them charging me $3 for insurance. The $8.90 to ship is bad enough.

Gouging at it's finest IMO.

  • I think if every card is top loaded/sleeved etc it is SOMEWHAT reasonable..... But yah if you didn't care for the insurance I don't see why they would have changed..
  • My guess is they won't be in Top Loaders. I mean if they ship by USPS, it doesn't cost even close to $8.95 to ship and the insurance would be less than $2. If they ship by UPS, I'm not sure how much it would cost to ship but insurance would be covered in the price.

Either way, they are trying to squeeze me. Congrats to them, they have squeezed me out of ever bidding again.
  • If it isn't in top loaders or some sort of sleeves in a box packed tight and protected they shouldn't even be having bids in the first place that is ridiculous.

    I hope they arrive ok
