I liked the busy-ness of the medal. Though I know the divinities represented, I do not know the purpose of the medal.
The medal appears to have been struck at the National Refinery in Mumbai, founded in 1942. For some reason, the vendor described the medal as early XIXth century. More like early XXIth!
