Ripken First Start Lineup Card

Thought I'd post this to share...This is a lineup card from the 08/12/81 when the Orioles/Royals played shortly after the player's strike ended that summer. The significance of this is that this game was the FIRST time that Cal Ripken Jr.'s name would be penned on a Major League Lineup card....Also, this game saw Ripken's first AB's and defensive work (he has made his debut two days earlier as a pinch runner of all things):

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>IMF .. that's a pretty kewl item to own. Is it yours? >>
yes, it is.....I have a lot of them...here is Consecutive Game 1000 nearly seven years later (this particular lineup card was on display at the Babe Ruth Museum in Balt. approx. 10 years ago when they did a timeline/retrospective of his career):
I'll stop....lol

Do you know who has the originals?
I can't believe those are still around. Very cool stuff.

Funny how both Ripken's names are spelled RIPKIN on this card! lol
Kickass items IMF!!
great items. I was at Cal's first game. Have a personal photo of him crossing home plate when he was the pinch runner and scored winning run. photo is blurry though. Cal and his dad used to car pool to Memorial Stadium in his dad's Volkswagon bug. Sr. had a yellow one and Elrod and orange one. Old Memorial Stadium was best place for autographs
nice line up cards!
