They should vacate the two Red Sox World Series titles on which he played. I knew the Red Sox winning the Series had to be a Faustian bargain and now their reputation is paying the price.

I agree, there have been substances in the past, present, and there will be in the future. There is always going to be something. Yes, they should continue to ban such substances but its never going to be gone and the world just needs to accept it. I dont like it either but thats just the ways its gonna be.

I think ESPN said it best for all those people who are still in denial believing that steroids don't make baseball players better that they just make them heal faster:

The Red Sox players saw the same thing. After word broke Friday that Ramirez had retired instead of facing suspension, David Ortiz said that the Boston players talked in their dugout this spring about how good Manny looked, how quick his bat was. This was especially striking, because late last season, in his brief time with the White Sox, Ramirez's bat speed had all but disappeared, and evaluators from some teams were convinced he was finished.

such a waste of talent. no way he makes the hall of fame. now i still believe some of the steriod era players will make the hall someday. ramirez will not even last one ballot.
