For Red Sox fans who may not be able to see the game

Top of the 4th, no score. Ellsbury safe at second, called out by umpire. Odd play at 3rd between Youk and Pedoia...see replay. Lester looking good. Foggy and cold in Cleveland.

Incredible to believe...0-6. Lose 1-0 for the Indians sweep.

Here's a little more of Red Sox Nation speak...

I'd be a bit excited too if I were an Indian's fan...wow, sweeping the Red Sox musth've caused serious jubilation near Lake Erie. Of course if my team hadn't won a World Series in 62 years, I'd be cheering too.

How about one of you Wahoo guys starting up one of those "Offical" Cleveland Indians threads and we'll alll keep an eye on how well your team does this season? I think when the dust settles, you won't be anywhere near the playoffs...but, that's just my opinion. See ya in August in Fenway...I suspect by then things will be a bit different...could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Hey, I'm just happy the tribe is not mathmatically eliminated from playoff contention yet. I will give the Red Sox credit, two to one in WS wins in my lifetime. Of course the Indians didn't spend $143,000,000 to win their championship. But again congratulations to the Red Sox, money well spent.

BTW when I was a kid Ted Williams was my favorite player.

I also agree that Red Sox Nation has bragging rights over the last 60 some years...they've won more championships than the Indians. However in my book Red Sox Nation pulled ahead of Yankee Nation a few years back when I met a whole slew of Red Sox fans in downtown Cleveland who made every single Yankee fan, and even Steelers fan I've ever met seem like angels......my intent is not to stir up a controversy on this topic....hey I'm even rooting for the Celtics this year....only thing worse in my book than seeing the Heat make the championship round would be to see the Bulls be there!! al.

Wow you got defensive real quick. Calm down!
I don't really think any of us "Wahoo" guys really think this Indians team is very good but when you get a series sweep against a team that's consistently a "buyer" it feels pretty good.

I'd hate to see what would happen if the Yankees sweep the Red Sox this weekend.....I agree with DavidPuddy...we probably won't be able to be real happy about the Tribe for long but at least they are starting out well....hey Charlie Sheen was even in town this week to lend support.....

I reposted what I wrote above...wouldn't exactly call it bit$$ing. I watched the game and there were several bad calls...facts are facts. Instant replay with the strike zone shown, clearly indicated BAD calls...for BOTH sides. I didn't say they were all bad calls for the Red Sox, did I? And believe me, I don't need any empathy from anyone, nor was I seeking any. I suggest YOU not be so sensitve, this is all BS in cyberspace, nothing more, nothing less.

    Ralph...

When I was a kid and my dad would take me to Fenway, I had the pleasure and incredible joy of seeing Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle and a bunch of great players actually play in Fenway. I've seen most of the AL players in the 1955 Topps set pass through Fenway...Kaline, Skowron, Ford, Berra, Jensen, etc, etc. Magical, magical times then. We always seemed to get tickets to the deepest part of the field, right next to the 420' sign just to the left of the Red Sox bullpen. Jensen once hit a ball there and I swear I can still see and hear Mickey Mantle scramble on the pea gravel after that ball...he was about 10 feet away from me, that #7 never left my memory. Beautiful times then, not the game it is today. Tix then BTW were just 75 cents for the bleachers, and walk up at that!

GL with your Indians this season. Hopefully one day you will know the thrill of bringing that WS title to Cleveland.

maybe since only the red sox were batting in the top of the sixth is why we all thought it was only bad calls against them......good luck this weekend against the dreaded Yanks

Congralutations to the many Red Sox fans in these threads, you beat up on the dreaded Yanks....glad none of you had to go off deep end so soon in the season.....good luck for rest of season.....al.
