<< <i>Breaking News. Experts figured out that the Mets are already mathmatically eliminated from making the playoffs. >>
Mets are so bad they've already been eliminated in the 2012 season.
They will also now lead the NL for Most Worst Bullpen now that Oliver Perez has moved to the pen. Just sayin'

No way! Did they cut Perez... Solid move if they really did. I was actually very impressed that they parted ways with Luis Castillo. Maybe things up in Queens really are turning around.

<< <i>Mets looking pretty good right now... >>
Gonna need one of those Phillies walkoff comebacks tonight...not looking too good...but remember, I never said the Phils would go 162 - 0, although the thought crossed my mind.

Sham looked pretty good against Secretariat early in the race in the '73 Belmont.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

If there's one thing I hate, it's not being on top in the standings because of alphabetical order.

<< <i>I may have reverse jinxed the Mets season with this thread. >>
I'm beginning to actually believe this.
<< <i>The mercenary Phillies have nothing left to play for...stick a fork in 'em.. >>
I hate it when Mets fans start feeling confident.
<< <i> >>
I hate it when Mets fans are happy. That happiness should end tonight because what's the odds of the lowly Mets beating the mighty Phillies two games in a row? Gotta be a million to one, at least a million to one.

Did I say "a million to one"? Sorry, I meant to say a billion to one.
Special two for the price of one, shots of whiskey at selected NY taverns tonight, right after the game for Mets fans.

My reply to him after reading the web site.
Well the Mets could bring up the AAA, AA, A, and Rookie league players for the season. They have to develop any way.
That could be encouraging.

<< <i>I just went outside and looked up at the sky for that ten mile wide asteroid about to strike earth eliminating all life forms. If the Mets win 5 in a row, I'm predicting that will happen...I mean an event like the Mets winning 5 in a row must mean the world is coming to an end. >>
Steve, has the asteroid hit yet?

Nah, he's mad at me because one time I stated that Johnny Bench overall, was a better catcher than Jerry Grote.

That's just not right.
At least you didn't say Tim McCarver.

I just got off the phone with Jerry from his ranch down in Texas and he said he was most certainly the best catcher of his generation...and it's not even debatable.
