I've read where the NY bars are gonna be open late at night all summer to accomodate the expected influx of Mets fans needing to drown their sorrows.

Mets are so bad they've already been eliminated in the 2012 season.

Grote- How many torn ACL's are you up to now? We need to keep track of the pulled hammies as well. Something tells me the Mets will lead the NL in both categories again this year.

They will also now lead the NL for Most Worst Bullpen now that Oliver Perez has moved to the pen. Just sayin'

No way! Did they cut Perez... Solid move if they really did. I was actually very impressed that they parted ways with Luis Castillo. Maybe things up in Queens really are turning around.

I just went outside and looked up at the sky for that ten mile wide asteroid about to strike earth eliminating all life forms. If the Mets win 5 in a row, I'm predicting that will happen...I mean an event like the Mets winning 5 in a row must mean the world is coming to an end.

My Mets friend sent me this link with a sad look on his face and asked what I thought the Mets needed to do.

My reply to him after reading the web site.

Well the Mets could bring up the AAA, AA, A, and Rookie league players for the season. They have to develop any way.
    That could be encouraging.

I just got off the phone with Jerry from his ranch down in Texas and he said he was most certainly the best catcher of his generation...and it's not even debatable.

Well, as long as we all agree that Clay Dalrymple was truly the best catcher of that era, then I've got no problem with the debate on who may have been second best.
