What player is everyone collecting and why?

What are you're goals of the player your collecting? Every card? Every rc? Every auto? What is your goal of collecting in general?

i guess my name says it all...im trying to collect as many rookie's of him graded either psa 10 or bgs 9.5 as possible..i've got 5 so far but certain ones like his topps chrome will be tough for obvious reasons..also collecting other years of him ungraded..i love collecting all players/sports so its tough to focus on just 1 specific player

I collect Griffey...nothing but griffey....anything that has griffey on it i save...my best griffey memorabilia i have is a auto ball with him and his dad's signature in it...

Whatever you do do not buy a finest psa 10 buy a bgs 9.5 finest.

good luck on all your kobe's. I hope his career will live up to his hype. Only time will tell, But it is fun collecting cards you like and can see play everyday instead of collecting players that you didn't relate too.

If you can buy any kobe rookie bgs 9.5 anywhere near close to a kobe psa 10 go for it, But i'm sure you knew that.

Anyways about the finest it's way more scarce in bgs 9.5 than psa 10 and goes for quite a bit more. If there's over 100-150 in psa 10 stay away from the card. Not too good for the long run.

I collect Paul Pierce and Steve Nash cuz they got mad game and dont get the credit for it. I am currently looking to get a copy of every card of their rookie year except for the 1 of 1's of course.

And so he is cool

almost all his rcs, and about 3/4 of his cards made
still need like a couple regular rcs like spx, spx spectrum, etc

I collect Stromile b/c hes from the Girz my 2nd fav team, and he can dunk. Courtney Alexnader, hes has a nice jumper, and his an up and rising superstar. Kobe Bryant, b/c he plays on my fav team..

I'm collecting Jumaine Jones b/c I saw him play some AAU ball back in the day, b/c he grew up locally (Cocoa Florida, I'm from Indialantic) Also he's a banger who can finish above the rim... he's a potential star if he could get some burn...

Just read the name and you know I collect Air Canada's cards. It's true, he hasn't had the best year but hey the guy has heart playing hurt most of the season. Can't wait to see him when he's 100%....alot of guys are gonna pay for going at him when he was hurt.

why? cauz I think he's the greatest center of all-time, he dominates the same like Chamberlain dominated, like Russell dominated, like Mikan dominated, like Kareem dominated, the thing that seperates him from the others is his passing-ability. Remember last year's Finals? when he had 28 pts, 20 board, 8 blocks and 8 assists? you're NOT gonna tell me that he can average those kind of number just because he's 7ft 1 and weighs 320? no way in hell!

and DisrealTV, man, you just see your timmy duncan and your little spurs, it's like AirCanada says, Shaq's playin' with an arthretic toe, he's got a wrist-injury, but if Duncan is the best like you say, why did Shaq crush him in last year's-play-offs? why did he do that? CAUZ HE'S BETTER

I hate when people talk sh*t about Shaq like that, especially cauz there's no reason to!

My name says it. Nowitzki, Nash, Najera, Lafrentz, Finley, and Wang.

I do it because they are my local team and it has been a long time since Dallas has had a player worth collecting. When we had good players in the 90's, they were all idiots. Dallas is putting together a very decent team that has a lot of time to mature into a great team. In my opinion there is not another team that looks that promising.

Dallas still does not get much hobby respect. When was the last time Dirk cards went up?

So if anybody has any cards, help me with my collection. We will see what we can do.

Everyone knows I collect Tim, lol. I started collecting him as soon as I heard we were going to draft him. I admired him so much in college, and knew he would be a big star in the NBA. My goal is to collect all of his cards, and I have about 1,000 now not counting dupes. I will not even get into the Shaq/ Tim debate, it's like comparing apples to oranges. I respect Tim so much for his on the court and off the court behavior, and no matter what, he gives it his best every night, and if he doesn't do well is the first to admit it and not make excuses. No one is perfect, doesn't mean he is not a great player, so go ahead and rag on him and my Spurs all you want. I am a true fan of his and will be till the end of his career. It's too bad that you all don't know how much he is loved here in San Antonio, he does so much for the community through all of his charities and benefits. He is having a great year, and deserves to be MVP, but probably won't get it because of his quiet nature, but that's ok. He is a team player first, and that is why I admire him so.
