At long last--I FINALLY own a 1994 Finest Jumbo All-Stars set! Anyone got a refractor set?

I have been hunting for a 1994 Finest Jumbo All-Stars set for many years (especially after I picked up the 1993 set a few years ago) and I just recently FINALLY found one on Feebay! image Now I just gotta at some point get some penny sleeves and top loaders (4x6) for them though I'd prefer if I could get 'em PSA graded or custom framed (neither would come cheap).

I just hope $60 wasn't too much...

psa will grade them. will have to go in as a supersize sub, dont think they will fit tall boys. but let me measure some of the football finest promo's/box toppers that i have to see how they measure and what size slab psa has put them into. just give me a few days. kinda busy this weekend. either way it will cost you between $5-10 a piece if there is a good special and you meet the min quantity of the special. otherwise there normal $10 special 10 day turn around will take supersize cards.

I currently own 1993 regular, 1993 jumbo, 1994 regular, 1994 jumbo, 1995, 1996 bronze, 1996 silver (-3 short), 1997 bronze. I only recognize 1993-97 as the "true" Finest sets. I don't like how starting in 1998 they tried to be a "Flair wannabe". image

I wonder if getting the 1994-95 refractor sets would be a reasonable undertaking. If it's no more than say, $200-$300 (I once saw a 1996 refractor set (G/S/B) go for somewhere in the $300's) I might just go for it! image 1993 refractors of course, are WAY too rich for my blood. For that price I'd rather collect the vintage sets of the early 70s and 60s.

I think the last '94 refractor set that hit ebay was 2-3 years ago and brought either $700 or $900. I can't imagine picking up a Finest base refractor set from 1993-1997 in any sport for under $500 except maybe 1995 football.

I could've sworn there was a 1996 one (with B/S/G) that went for somewhere in the mid-$300's.

I've been closely following the 90's Finest Baseball Refractors since 2006.

The only truly complete baseball set I've seen come up (people will often say set in the description when it is an incomplete set)

was probably about 2 years ago a complete set of the 1997's (w/ non-embossed silver and gold) went in the $750-$800 range.
Always looking for 1993-1999 Baseball Finest Refractors and1994 Football Finest Refractors.

It's possible I suppose, but you could get around $300 on ebay for the two Jeters, Gold & Silver Ripken, Gold & Silver Griffey and 2 Gold Nomo's. Throw all of the other HOFers and stars on top of that and the breakup value is probably close to $750. I'd buy them all day at $350.

And there in lies the problem (or you could say challenge); just getting these rare 1990s insert sets to even show up AT ALL.
