1912 Barber Proofs at the Bowers Auction

Did you guys notice the prices paid for two 1912 proofs at the auction last night? This half and quarter appeared to be really nice. I didn't buy either but was closely following the auction. What drove the prices so high? Color/Holder/CAC/Freshness/All of these? Any one attribute more than another?

    Edit: I would say it is because of the color mainly...there are a LOT of people on these forums that drive around with RAINBOW STICKERS on their bumpers. But it likely has to do with Holder, CAC, and Population/Rarity as well.
