The auction ends very soon...I don't think ebay will kill it.

What a shame no one spotted this earlier. I would have loved to shut it down.

BFD. They're combating excessive shipping fees by charging seller's fees on it. Hopefully the seller gets hit with a SNAD in this case, since some part of the description isn't going to match what the buyer receives.

OMG! Somebody is charging a lot of money for shipping!! If only there were *some way* to avoid paying such an outrageous amount!!!

    Like... just not bidding, maybe?

Nahhhh- that'd be way too easy. image

I think a few things are at work and there is a sense of community that drives people to report. They might think that shady sellers are bad for the hobby in general. They might think that other sellers doing things that drive buyers away from ebay are not in their own best interest, since they also sell. Or maybe it's just fun to stick it to jerk. I'd guess that's the difference.

Wouldn't the buyer still be out the shipping fee's? I mean if the seller wanted to get technical.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Something else that drives buyers away are sellers who list counterfeits, items they don't actually own or just take the buyer's money and run. And those kinds of things are a lot harder for a buyer to avoid than an auction listing with a $100 shipping charge. There are a limited number of hours in a day, and every minute that eBay devotes to dealing with things that buyers can easily avoid themselves is a minute not spent on the more difficult to avoid problems.
